He was predeceased by: his father Elwin P. Hewitt; and his brother Greg Stanton. He is survived by: his mother Georgia Boyd Hewitt; his wife Elaine L. Hewitt; his stepson Danny McCullough (Monica); his daughter Lindsay Hewitt; his brothers, Stan Hewitt (Kay) and Rick Hewitt (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Taylor Sandifer, Josh Sandifer, Nate McCullough and Savannah McCullough. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
