We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2023, at the age of 85, Roy Delano Skipper of Summit, Mississippi, born in Magnolia, Mississippi passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy Delano Skipper to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jane Smith; his parents, Robert Leroy Skipper and Loraine Elizabeth Morris Skipper; and his brothers, Nathan Wayne Skipper and Robert Lee Skipper.

He is survived by: his daughter Angie; his son-in-law Billie Morgan; his children, Elizabeth "Beth" Skipper and Alan; his daughter-in-law Michele Skipper; his stepdaughter Gale Berry; his sister Kathy; his brother-in-law Robert Rhodus; his grandchildren, Sonny Bigner, Jan Bigner, Andrew Skipper and Nicole Skipper; his great grandchildren, Devon Bigner and Deuce Bigner; and his caregivers, Kay Henry, Courtney Windom and Shelby Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Roy's name to Our Daily Bread 1006 W Coleman Ave. Hammond, LA 70403.

“Hello, Kathy and family. I just read about Bo's passing and thought of a photo I have of him and me standing side by side in New Orleans when we were six or seven years old. His daddy and mine worked together as welders for many years in N. O.. And Bo worked with them later in life. Also, Bo and I played together on the Magnolia Bearcats football team. The last time I spoke to him was when he came to my dad's funeral in 2008. I know you all are sorrowful in his passing as I am. Jimmy Rushing.”
