It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Maxwell of Summit, Mississippi, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Maxwell and Joyce Maxwell; her grandmother Lillie Foltmer; her brother Jimmy Maxwell; her husband Roy Austin; and her grandchild Casey.
She is survived by: her children, Michele Hartz (Sol) and Ashley Austin (April); her grandchildren, Jordan Hartz, Max Austin (Flavia Austin), Mitchell Austin, Joshua Hartz and Andrew Austin; and her siblings, John Maxwell (Amy) and Nancy Murchison (Dillion).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of McComb (1700 Delaware Ave, McComb, MS 39648). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
