She was predeceased by : her parents, James Harvey Durham, Sr. and Rena Nettles Durham; her husband James Dennis Thornton; her siblings, James Harvey Durham, Jr. and Mary L. Reeves; and her great grandchild William Ryan Vowell.
She is survived by : her children, Charles Dennis Thornton (Frances) of Summit, MS, James E. Thornton (Danette) of Summit, MS, Delton Warren Thornton of McComb, MS, Elton Keith Thornton (Wendy) of Metairie, LA and Rene Faye Vowell (late Donald) of Summit, MS; and her grandchildren, Charlotte Creel (Richard), Charles Thornton, Jr., Brian Thornton, Kathy Casey (David), Tonya Hooks (Clay), Steven Vowell (Rebecca), Joshua Thornton (Olivia), Kerry Thornton (Kim) and Kenric Thornton (Desiree). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
