With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Taylor Jr. of Summit, Mississippi, born in Ferriday, Louisiana, who passed away on October 30, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marvin Taylor, Sr. and Frankie Alberta Scott Taylor; his former wife Patricia Miller; his brother Scott Taylor; and his wife Dorothy.

He is survived by: his children, Michael (Jennifer) of Amite, LA, Jeffery (Susan) of Summit, MS and Jill (Rick) of Clancy, MT; his stepchildren, Duane (Jerri), Kevin (Patsy), Dale (Kim) and Anthony (Lauren); his grandchildren, Maggie Magee (Dustin), John Michael Taylor (Dakota), Gracie Taylor, Reed Taylor (Mary Margaret), Jamie Claire Taylor, Morgan Oie and Cole Oie; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan, Amber (Matt), Madison, Nealie, Jake, Ella, Wyatt Morrison, Hunter Morrison and Dovey Morrison; and his grandsons, Nathan Thompson and Jake Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Church Building Ministries, Inc.
