He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gerald Reeves, Elizabeth Barfield and Sandra Richland; and his grandson Cory W. Hart. He is survived by: his wife Bessie Stockton Reeves; his children, Russell Reeves (Patsy), Martha Dillon (James), Dorothy Duckworth (Jim) and Judy Planas (Oswald); his brother John Henry Reeves, III; his wife Sherry Haver; his sisters, Margie Foy and Marcelle Spillman; his grandchildren, Kim Sisco, Ginger Lowhorn, Colette Sanford, Brooke Beard, Russ Reeves, Jeffery Reeves, Heather Hart and Lori Hart; and also Robert Haver (Dean). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
