She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Amason and Effa Amason; her husband L. D. Wiley Reid; and her siblings, James Amason, Gloria Perkins and Janelle Creel.
She is survived by: her children, Melanie Penoza, Jesse Wiley Reid (Irene Roberts), Christy Brister (Joel) and Paul Reid; and her sisters, Martha Massey and Shelby Porter. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
