He was predeceased by: his parents, Claiborn May and Lillian Alford May; his former wife Nancy Anderson May; his wife Carolyn Barron May; and his children, James "Jimbo" May and Suzy May.
He is survived by: his grandson Dalton May. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
