He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Summerford and Virginia Quinn Summerford; and his brother David Summerford. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Dempsey Summerford of Sturgis, MS; his daughter Michelle Polk (Michael); his grandson Ford Polk (Abi) of Starkville, MS; and his nieces and nephews, Jean Walsh, Marsha Maggio, Kimberly Rowell, Nicole Canter, Thomas Summerford and Larry McIntyre.
