He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean McClelland Gillis of Sturgis, MS; his children, Sharon Williams (Tommy) of Pheba, MS, Cynthia Hunt (Warren) of Ackerman, MS and James Alton Gillis (Lynn) of Sturgis, MS; his grandchildren, Amanda Rebaldo (Blake), Hayden Gillis (Jayne), Malinda Hunt (Mindy), Jordan Hunt and Tyler Hunt (Kristen); and his sister Sally McRorie (Jim) of North Carolina. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
