He was predeceased by: his former wife Irene Simpson; his parents, Oscar Simpson and Eula Simpson; and his siblings, Gladys Walley (Dan) and Charles Simpson (Mildred).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Simpson; his daughters, Teressa Newell (Rusty), Melissa Foster (Randy), Wanda Keyes, Debra Russ and Wendy Prince; and his brother Prentiss Simpson (Linda). He is also survived by grandchildren; 19- great grandchildren.
