It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janis Newton of Stringer, Mississippi, who passed away on June 25, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Donnie Hill and Jon Newton; her parents, Eugene Windham and Gertrude Windham; her children, Glenn Hill and Missy Cherry; her son-in-law Billy Cherry; and her siblings, John Windham and Louise Bradley.

She is survived by: her son Bruce Hill; her grandchildren, Heather Davis (Houston), Corey Cherry (Courtney), Tanner Cherry, Hannah Crager (Thomas) and Brandon Hill (Jessie); and her great grandchildren, Harper, Brody, Luke, Kayleigh, Khloe, Kolsen, Raylee and Brenton.

“Dear Family,I’m so sorry that you have to experience this loss and the grief that accompanies it.I met Janis a few years back and instantly we shared a love of the Bible. in a short period of time you all have suffered many losses of your loved ones. One of the scriptures that we always shared and reminded each other of was Revelation. chapter 21 verses 4 & 5: where God promises to do away with sickness and death.I have met Bruce, Corey and Courtney.
