He is survived by: his wife Maxine Rainey; his stepchildren, George Ross Davidson (Emily) and Amy Rebecca Lawson (Mike); and his brother Larwence Rainey, Jr.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
