He is survived by: his wife Fredna Turner Cockrell; his children, Derrick Carroll and Ashley Haney; his sisters, Jane Cockrell and Karen Cockrell; his grandchildren, Aubrey Hamburg and Liam Haney; his uncle Arthur Cockrell; his close friend Rev. Pat Oakes; and also, Ricky and Becky Harper.
