She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie V. Porter and Arline Shepherd Porter; and her brother Charles Wayne Porter. She is survived by: her children, Maurice Edward "Eddie" Estes, Jr. (Darla) and Carole Estes Murphey (Smith); her grandchildren, Carole Addison Murphey, Archer Smith Murphey and Webb Smith Murphey; and her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Ott Porter Laggy and Barbara Lewis Estes. She is also survived by nephew; three nieces, and several grand nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or a charity of the donor's choice.
