She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Smithers and Anne Wilkins Smithers. She is survived by: her husband Coy Wayne Pitts; her daughter Valerie Anne Lawson; her grandsons, Wayne Monroe Lawson and James Daniel Lawson; and her sisters, Katy Hill and Cindy Layne.
