It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Smith Dickerson of Starkville, Mississippi, who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Harvey Smith and Ruth Eugenia Smith (Starnes); her husband John Dickerson; her brothers, Lucien "Pete" Smith and Roy Harvey Smith; and her sister-in-law Opal Smith (Wakefield).
She is survived by: her sister Margie Smith Whittington (James); her sister-in-law Betty Jean Smith (Pete); her niece Amaris Smith Robinson (Jonathan); her great-nephew Eli Robinson; and her caregivers, Angela, Vanessa, Lakesha, Tamika, Rodonna, Maxine, Mya and Dorian of Helping Hands.
