She is survived by: her husband Robert Lee Billups; her mother Ora Lee Gandy; her daughter Beverly Gandy of Starkville, MS; her grandchildren, Davida Jefferson and Ebonie Avant (Cory) of Starkville, MS; her siblings, Mary Ann Johnson of Oxford, MS, Lucy Thames, Patricia Jackson of Jackson, MS, Tommy Harris and Charles Billups of Jackson, MS; her grandchildren, Samaria, TyRhianna, Chant, Jr., Marley, Markell, Ja'Kyra, Ja'Ryiah, JaNai, Juwan, Jahmai and J'amir; and her aunts and uncles, Lincoln Jefferson (Hazel) of Detroit, MI, Ulysses (Susan), Charles Gandy of Starkville, MS, Lena Smith, Ethel Griffin and Mary Bevill (Glenn) of Starkville, MS. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Memorial Funeral Home (103 Jefferson St, Starkville, MS 39759). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet M. B. Church.
