He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schmidt and Mary Schmidt; and his grandson Ethan Quick. He is survived by: his wife June Schmidt; his children, Carolyn Evans (Will) of Franklin, Tenn and Tony Schmidt (Jamie) of Mount Olive, Ala.; the mother of his children Norma Schmidt; his sister Margaret Gannon (Wes); his grandchildren, Johnny Ford, Josie Evans and Eric Quick; and also Emily Breland-Ford (Guy) of Starkville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
