He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maggie Waldrip Cooks of Starkville, MS; his children, Kesha (Tim), Victoria, Jonae, Joni and Johnie Jr. (TaNaya); his siblings, Rosie, Bobbie, Katie, Otis (Joan), Rob and Willie; and his mother-in-law Christine Waldrip. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Johnie Cooks M-Club Endowed Scholarship. Checks may be payable to the MSU Foundation and mailed to POB BT, MSU, MS 39762.
