It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Henry Young Jr. (Starkville, Mississippi), who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Young of Starkville, MS; his children, Jonathan Williams (Kadeja) of Austin, TX, Jeremy Williams (Ebonee), Chance Williams of Starkville, MS, Queen Gandy Young, Carol Young of Starkville, MS., Calvin Young of Jackson, MS, Latrice Tillman, Matrice Tillman of West Point, MS and Tony Minor (Nicole) of Starkville, MS; his siblings, Betty Sanders (Jimmy) of Artesia, MS, Julia Sutton (Ezekiel) of Tunica, MS, Tommy Young (Rhonda) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Melvin Young (Cynthia) of Jackson, MS, Walter Young (Lena), Robert Young, William Young, Joe Young (Patricia), Charles Young (Elizabeth) and Larry Young (Linda) of Starkville, MS; and his aunts and uncles, Sylvia Wilson, Queenie Lawrence (Dave), Joe Neal (Thelma) and Henry Neal (Maudell). He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and abundance of friends.
