We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2025, at the age of 84, Gwendolyn Stanfield (Starkville, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Dewey Bostick and Mildred Huffman Bostick; her children, Jacqueline Paige Burns and Henry Hankins; and her siblings, Robert L. Bostick, Dewey Lamar Bostick and Gail B. Stewart.
She is survived by: her significant other Billy Joe Gaskin; her children, Barbara K. Vaughan, Kim Roberson Pate (Mike) and Robert Hankins (Heidi); her siblings, William E. Bostick (Linda) and Jacqueline Shipp-Agnelly; and her grandchildren, Nicole Wetherley (Jonathan), Michael Shay Pate, Chelsea Rene Pate, Michael Evan Pate, Victoria Pate Goggins (Timothy), Jacqueline Gail Baswell (Chris), Scott Evans, Katie Brashier (Grant), Nicholas Hankins, Kate Hankins, Emma Hankins and Autumn Hankins. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Welch Funeral Home (201 W Lampkin St, Starkville, MS 39759). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
