He is survived by: his wife Delores Gibson; his children, Juliaphine Self, Wilma Madison (Russell), Elaine Cooperwood, Carlene Carter (Lionel) and Randy Gibson (Lydia) of Starkville, MS.; his sister Louise Page; his daughter-in-law Queenzella Gibson; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Rogers (Gussie), Doris Garmon (Melvin) of Starkville, MS and Betty Rogers of Starkville, MS. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Memorial Funeral Home (103 Jefferson St, Starkville, MS 39759). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Peiler M. B. Church (840 N Jackson St, Starkville, MS 39759).
