She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus Wiley Murphree and Mary Grace Strawn Murphree; her children, Nikki Tackett Fowler (Richard), William Tackett (Belinda) and James Tackett (Lindsay); her grandchildren, Angelina Fitzgerald, Jamie Fitzgerald, Kendyll Tackett, Nate Tackett and Ryan Tackett; and her brother John Daniel Murphree.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Funeral Service. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the United Funeral Service, Inc. (700 MS-15, New Albany, MS 38652).
Her work ethic and leadership were an inspiration to her colleagues, and her contributions to the industry were significant and valued.
