He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Heffner and Margaret Heffner; his brothers, Leon Heffner and Darnell Heffner; and his half-siblings, James Heffner and Juanita Barnett.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Heffner; his daughters, Margie Abel (Stan) of Oxford and Patti Jerome (William) of Southaven; his grandchildren, Jessica Jerome, Patrick Jerome, Allison Abel and Anna Abel; his brothers, Robert Heffner (Shirley Ann), Paul Heffner (Jan) and Charlie Heffner (Jeannie); and his pet Rebel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Four Friends Special Needs Ministry at Longview Heights Baptist Church (4501 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654).
