He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Cherry (Smith) of Soso; his daughter Lisa Chisolm of Soso; his siblings, Hugh Cherry, Harold Cherry of Waynesboro, Willie Cherry of Oxford, Harry Cherry of Waynesboro, Larry Cherry of Buckatunna, Lillian McLain of Hattiesburg and Mary Ross of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Corey Cherry (Courtney) of Soso, Tanner Cherry of Soso and Evan Chisholm of Soso; and his great grandchildren, Raylee Marie and Brenton Hugh Cherry.
