We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2023, at the age of 74, John L. Sumrall of Soso, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmage L. Sumrall and Dollie Sumrall (Grantham); and his siblings, Heleneise Jefcoat (Sumrall) and Lowery Sumrall. He is survived by: his wife Linda Anderson Sumrall; his sister Faye Joyce Parker (Jerry); his son John L. Sumrall, Jr. (Joey); his grandchildren, John L. "Tripp" Sumrall III (Katie), Jacob Roberts "Jake" Sumrall (Ally) and Kathryn Elizabeth Sumrall (Katie Beth); his great grandchildren, Leigh Caroline Sumrall, Knox Roberts Sumrall and Sadie James Sumrall; his daughter Heather Sumrall Nettles (Donald); and his grandchildren, Douglas Forrest Nettles, Andrew Webber Nettles, Connor Joseph Nettles and Brooke Alexandra Nettles.
