She was predeceased by: her parents, Winton Ray and Effie Lee Byrd Gatewood; her brother Winton Lee Gatewood; her husbands, J. N. Dykes and Lance Kimball; her sons, Luther Ray Dykes and Ricky Dale Dykes; and her daughter-in-law Frances Ingram Dykes.
She is survived by: her sister Nelda Gatewood Boyd (Gerald); her children, Sandra Farrish (C. D.), Cindy Hughlett, Sherry Smith (Steve), Rene Kimball Charpentier (Big Rene) and Kyle Kimball (Faith); and her daughter-in-law Carol Sue Dykes. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the BIG Creek Baptist Church (28 Big Creek Church Rd, Soso, MS 39480). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
