He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gainey and Hilda Gainey; and his brother A. D. Gainey. He is survived by: his wife Elaine M. Gainey; his daughters, Sandra Caston (Dana), Nancy Thevenet (Tommy) and Theresa Jefcoat (Terry); his grandchildren, Krista Jefcoat, Justin Caston (Jennifer) and Tyler Jefcoat; and his sister Georgia Lee Schawn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
