He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Craven "Bill" Fairchild and Agnes Watts Fairchild; his siblings, Gregory Dale Fairchild, Michael Wayne Fairchild and Terri; and his great-niece Hannah McCallum.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Fairchild; his children, Christopher Dickerson (Heather), Cody Dickerson and Kayla Johnson (Chris); his sister Karen Smith (Joe); his grandchildren, Emma Dickerson, Aly Dickerson, Lillie Dickerson, Bayleigh Dickerson, Alyssa Dickerson, Tucker Dickerson, Sadie Johnson and Benton Johnson; his nephews, B. J. Ainsworth and Willie Ainsworth; and his niece Kristi Ainsworth. He is also survived by his family and friends.
