She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Ballard and Wilma Ballard; her husband Lloyd "Slick" Smith; and her siblings, Dewey Ballard, Hilda Campbell and Lera Hyde.
She is survived by: her sons, Donnie Smith (Julia) of Sontag, Mississippi, Jeff Smith of Sontag, Mississippi and Bruce Smith of Sontag, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Tricia Turnage (Brian), Aaron Smith and Chase Smith (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Megan, Caleb Turnage, AnnaBlair Smith, Matti Waldrop and Lilli Smith; her sisters, Bobbie Dickerson and Linda Richard; and her sisters-in-law, Pat Neal and June Smith.
