He was predeceased by: his former wife Virginia Rester (Ginger); his parents, Woodrow "Shorty" Rester and Alpha Mae Stephens Reynolds; and his sister Peggy Rester Reynolds. He is survived by: his wife Susan Sills Rester; his children, Flavol Rester (Kathy) of Silver Creek, Maria Rester Shiyou Holden (Norman) of Braxton and Samuel Rester (Jessica) of Silver Creek; his grandchildren, Ginger Turnage, Sarah Rester, Kane Shiyou (Sharon), Reuben Rester (Amanda), Jared Rester (Nori) and Gideon Rester; his brother Kelly Rester (Ruth); and his siblings-in-law, Bobbie Rester, Billy Reynolds and Don Sills. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Bible Church of Silver Creek Building Fund or The Gideons International.
