He was predeceased by: his father John Chester; his son Joey Cooper; and his grandson Lee Sciple. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sciple of Shuqualak, MS; his children, Christy Burks (Buddy) of Columbus, MS and Ronnie Sciple (Carol) of Shuqualak, MS; and his daughter-in-law Rhonda Cooper of Macon, MS. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
