It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathie Butler Coleman of Shuqualak, Mississippi, born in Macon, Mississippi, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father John Astor; and her siblings, Betty Ann McBrayer, Malcomb McBrayer and Frances Butler. She is survived by: her partner Nowell Flake of Shuqualak, MS; her daughter Christy Coleman Griffin; her sisters, Myrtis White of Shuqualak, MS and Sharon Permenter; and her grandchildren, Justin White, Raelee White and Clara Griffin. She is also survived by her family and her many friends.
