It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald D. Butler Sr. of Shuqualak, Mississippi, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Butler and Irene Higginbotham Butler; and his siblings, Elbert Butler, James Henry Butler, Rhodam Butler, Bro. Bobby Joe Butler, Mildred Moody and Dot Hailey.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda H Butler of Shuqualak, MS; his children, Doug Butler (Paula) of Shuqualak, MS, Angie Higginbotham of Shuqualak, MS and DeAnne Coleman (Gray) of Shuqualak, MS; his grandchildren, Emily Strong (Jacob), Colby Higginbotham (Mary Morgan), Cade Higginbotham, Gracie Coleman, Colt Coleman, Brett Butler and Stone Butler; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Maycock and Ava Strong; and his daughter Melissa Butler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and children he loved.
