With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donnie Edwin Ivy of Shubuta, Mississippi, who passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edwin Ivy and Rosie Olevia "Ouida" Ivy (Simpson); and his son Jon Anthony "Tony" Ivy. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Ivy; his children, Donald L. Ivy, Jeffery D. Ivy and Amber M. Ivy; his grandchildren, Hunter H. Holifield (Lexie), Joshua C. Ivy, Jon M. Ivy, Gavin A. Ivy, Jaggyr D. Ivy, Aubrey L. Ivy, Jax C. Starks and Jonah L. Starks; his great grandchildren, Morgan R. Ivy and Hunter Drake Holifield; his stepchildren, Kimberly Jo Bryant, Karen Jean McManus, Angela Lynn Mack (Sherman) and Andy Allen (Christina); his stepgrandchildren, Gabreel Vavasseur, Amber McManus, Tyler Bryant, Chase Mack, Connor Mack, Katie Claire Allen, Addie Grace Allen and Robert A. Jones (Rachel); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mikaela Vavasseur and Blaze Vavasseur; and his siblings, Carol Holifield and Allen Ivy (Donna). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (4173 Co Rd 672, Quitman, MS 39355). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Oak Ridge Cemetery Fund.
