She was predeceased by: her parents, George Blackburn, Jr. and Margaret Rae Stanley Koontz; and her son Michael "Rooster" Blackburn. She is survived by: her husband James "Bo" Sykes of Shubuta, MS; her children, Chris Sykes (Tommie), J. B. Sykes (Maelynn) and Corrie Lindsey (Doye); her brothers, Charles E. Blackburn, Sr. and Anthony C. Blackburn; and her grandchildren, Doye, Bailey, Cole, Matt, Toby, Jasper, Conner and Edith.
