He was predeceased by: his father Coyette Hendon; his son Richard Prather Hendon; and his siblings, William Elliott Hendon and LaVera Hendon Morris. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Prather Hendon of Cleveland; his children, Coyt Hendon (Charlsie) of Madison and Joyce Ann Aycock of Boyle; his siblings, Donnie Hendon (Nyleene) of Paris, Tennessee, Judi Otts (Buddy) of Indianola and Julie Spencer (Art) of Harvest, Alabama; and his grandchildren, John Thomas Aycock, Reese Aycock, Gracen Hendon, Caroline Hendon, Trace Hendon and Catherine Hendon.
