She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Louise Moody Fly and George Lee Fly; her husband Charles Franklin Commander; and her brothers, G. D. Fly and Danny Jack Fly.
She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Saffold (Allen); her grandsons, Allen Bailey Saffold and Charles Wilson Saffold of Olive Branch; and her siblings, Carlis Fly (Jeanie), Patsy James (Frank) and Gaylene Combs (Jimmy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
