Ethel Bryson-Williams Obituary
Ethel Bryson-Williams was born November 28, 1947, in Shaw, MS to Irving and Sarah Bryson. Her father was a Doctor in the Yukon. Her mother came up from Juneau as a Nurse.
Ethel spent summers at her grandparents in remote areas of the country. She graduated from Shaw High School. She attended college at the Delta State University, where she met and married Percy Williams. After graduation, they returned to Shaw, MS. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker while her husband was a Pastor..
She was an active member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church, belonged to the Arboretum Foundation garden club and worked with various charities.
Her hobbies and interests included family, gardening, sewing and reading and writing short stories. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at age 70.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and husband.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Dominique Williams-Davis (Patrick); son, Carl Williams; and 1 granddaughter Tamya Williams; and a host of other family members.
