It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Elrod (Shannon, Mississippi), who passed away on May 13, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rachel Elrod to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Black and Mae Oner Black; and her husband Jimmy Elrod. She is survived by: her sons, David Elrod (Pam) of Tupelo and Mike Elrod (Tamara) of Canton; her grandchildren, Michelle Farley (Robert) of Pontotoc, Candi Tate (Cameron) of Plantersville, Ryan Elrod (Jordan) of Shannon and Katelyn Wilson (Austin) of Pisgah; her great grandchildren, Lane McMullen, Bryson Tate, Paddy Farley, Landon Farley, Anna Blake Tate, John Riley Tate and Bristol Wilson; and her siblings, Esma Hanley of Pontotoc, Frances Staten (Keith) of Pontotoc and Gary Black of Pontotoc. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00A. M. to 12:00P. M. at Lee Memorial Funeral Home, we will be observing social distancing during this time due to the pandemic.
