She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Durett Stephens, Jr. and Edith Ann O'Connor Stephens; her husband Billy Shands Gaines; and her siblings, Hubert D. Stephens, III and Mary Alice Bolton.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Bell (Anita) of Guntown, Pat Jones (Michael) of Okolona and Terri Enlow of Ecru; her grandchildren, Savannah Perry (Jason), Hillary Harmon (Tracey), Brennan Bell (Tiffany), Jacob Jones (Brianna), Wesley Ethridge (Haley), Will Ethridge (Marrisa), Kelsie Haley (Brandon) and Daycie Cole; her great grandchildren, Caison, Tate, West, Kennedi, Kingston, Abby, Bailey, Ellie, Annie, Michael Tate, Hudson, Whit, Hank, Wilder and Colter; her brother Jim Stephens (Elizabeth); her caregivers, Prescilla, Sherry, Sharon, Mary, Lola and Leigh; her grandchild Kelly Wallace; and her close friends, Joe and Diane Dye.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brewer Baptist Church (302 Co Rd 520, Shannon, MS 38868). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be to Sanctuary Hospice House.
