He was predeceased by: his parents, Dye, Sr. and Ruth Dye McMurry; and his stepfather Oneal McMurry. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dye; his stepbrother Joe Davis; his children, Gary Dye (Gwen) of Athens, AL and Deanna Dye of Memphis, TN.; and his grandsons, Devon Dye and Reed Dye.
