He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mathenia and Opal Mathenia; his siblings, Mae Fern Graves, Sarah Bennett, Marie Hatchett, Rebecca White, Pete Mathenia, Ray Mathenia and Russell Mathenia; and his son John Russell Mathenia.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Mathenia of Senatobia, MS; his children, Teresa White (Carl) of Looxahoma, MS and Stephen Mathenia (Wendy) of Crawfordsville, AR; his siblings, Carolyn Kyle (Jerry) of Gibson, TN, Louise Watson of Trenton, TN, Harry Mathenia (Shirley) of Trenton, TN and David Mathenia (Barbara) of Trenton, TN; and his grandchildren, Brent White (Bianca), Candice Siddon (David), Emily Mathenia and Brittany Terry. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
