He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Overton Wilbanks and Nancy Ann Jones Wilbanks; and his wife Melba Joyce Wilbanks. He is survived by: his children, Christy Thornhill (Joey) of Hernando, MS and Joe Wilbanks, Jr. (Debbie) of Byhalia, MS; and his grandchildren, Heather, Joseph, Trace Thornhill and Logan Wilbanks.
