It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Allen Byrd (Seminary, Mississippi), who passed away on April 24, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Byrd and Mavis Mooney Byrd; and his siblings, Hazel Lee Craft, Grissett Byrd and John Everett Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Cora Sue Griffith Byrd of Seminary; his children, Allen Byrd (Rosa) of Hattiesburg, Lesia Byrd Taormina (Brian) of Seminary and Stacey Byrd (Missy Ainsworth) of Laurel; his grandchildren, Bethany Brown (Cha), Tayler Shoemake (Lee), Lauren Burrell (Coty), Kaleb Byrd, Katherine Davis, Erin Sanford (Mitch), Emily Byrd and Eden Byrd; and his siblings, Iona Moss of Seminary, Willene Sanford of Seminary, Retha Mae Phillips of Seminary, Shirley Beasley of Seminary, Palmer Byrd of Seminary and Martin Byrd of Seminary. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
