Betty Self Hughes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Self Hughes of Seminary, Mississippi, who passed away on July 23, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemon Self and Wallace Stewart; her parent-in-law Mrs W. M. Hughes; and her sons-in-law, Jimmy Norris of Seminary and Doug Baker of Seminary.
She is survived by: her siblings, Edward Self, Elizabeth O'Neal, Bill Self, Leon Self, Dorothy Sox, Ronnie Stewart and Louise Cartmell of Winder Georgia; her husband William "Boots" Hughes (Boots); her daughters, Wanda Baker of Seminary, Brenda Ross (Randy) and Donna (Danny Rigel) of Hattiesburg; her sister Gertrude Barton (Gale) of Ft. Walton, Florida; and her sister-in-law Helga Self. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.
