It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Johnston Ellis Sr. of Scott, Mississippi, who passed away on April 23, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jack of Charles, W. C., Billy, Richard and Bernice. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Jay Ellis (Anne) of Brandon and Mary Alice Marsh (Rick) of Starkville; his granddaughters, Anne Marie Martin (Jeremiah) of Mission, TX, Sydney McClendon (Ron) of Bixby, OK, Shelby Ellis of Little Rock, AR, Catherine Marsh and Kristen Marsh of The Colony, TX; his great grandchildren, Makayla, Maci, Miley Martin, Lilly Beth and Aly McClendon; and his sister Lanore Kelly of Pearl.
