He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jefferies and Mattie Herron. He is survived by: his wife Sue McClure of Schlater, MS; and his children, Joe Alton McClure, Jr. (Tonya) of Coila, MS, Shelia Phillips (Henry) of Indianola, MS, Patsy Richardson (Eddie) of Yazoo City, MS and Belinda Jaco (Phillip) of Schlater, MS. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren.
