He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harvey Hardin and Bobbye Sorrells Hardin; his wife Linda; his son Jonathan Hood; and his sister Teresa Hardin.

He is survived by: his daughter Kim Hood King of Sardis; and his grandchildren, Leah Jewel Walton and Cody Allen Walton.
